Juliet Casella may love collages, but she doesn't like labels. A jack-of-all-trades, obsessed with our image-saturated world, she explores all mediums, without constraint or limit. First spotted by Stylist magazine and then by Louis Vuitton, her paper and digital collages made her name. Then, the world of music noticed her. For Metronomy or Feu Chatterton, she went behind the camera and directed several videos. Behind her pop and colourful universe, the visual artist tackles darker themes that are dear to her, such as childhood, violence and disenchantment. Painter, video artist, visual artist, director, Juliet does not restrict herself in any way. From her artist's studio in Marseille, where she has been living for several years, the young woman claims her absolute freedom to express herself as she wishes, without fear of judgement, and this is what makes her strong. Without a label, one is freer.
