This unique collaboration is the story of an encounter, an affinity between two brands with a strong and proud identity. Bold, daring and passionate, the two Phocaean icons wanted to show off their southern origins and the Mediterranean blue in around twenty collector denim pieces, for men, women and children, letting every fan match their style with their club and brand close to their heart, with a sporty casual denim look.

« Jeans are the most popular clothing item in the world and football, the most popular sport,» says Guillaume Ruby, Kaporal's Brand and Communication Director. « The fusion of the two universes seemed obvious to us. We share common origins and passion, Marseille, a historical bastion of jeans fabrication and football in France. We are proud to collaborate with a club as legendary and talented as Olympique de Marseille and to give fans from the South and around the world the opportunity to show their passion for sport and fashion in an original way. »

AN EXCLUSIVE AND PREMIUM COLLECTION

The collection is mainly cut in 11.5 oz stretch denim and made in the Mediterranean, the camouflage printed pieces are made of cotton canvas which provides flexibility and resistance. This capsule wardrobe for men, women and children will start at around €69 for children's jeans and go up to €115 for the most intricately-designed adult jeans. Shirts and jackets will be around €85 and €129.

Beatrice Gonzadi Director of Kaporal's jeans division: « We wanted to revisit the jeanswear classics of jeans, shirts and jackets by twisting them with subtle and well-placed details: the logo being both chic and of premium quality, marked through different embossing, screen printing or embroidery techniques on the garment, embroidered ornamental patches are also used to decorate our signature pieces with gold. Each product will feature the narrative of the collaboration on the inner pockets to imprint the history of this partnership. »

The cuts are trendy: slim fit and tapered for men and slim fit and slim boyfriend fit for women completed by a camo skirt (the print is a favourite Kaporal classic that can also be found on a jacket and on pocket detailing). To accessorise the silhouettes, two belts and a denim pouch inspired by crampon bags complete the collection.

AVAILABLE IN EARLY SEPTEMBER

The collection will be available in more than a hundred Kaporal boutiques and on the digital flagships of the two brands, as well as some key multi-brand partners. A distribution that remains exclusive and in stores until the end of the year. To bring the collection to life, Kaporal will sponsor two home games during the season and will showcase this unique collaboration by not only promoting the boutiques but also by broadcasting a film on giant screens on match nights and in the major Marseille metro stations.
