OUR CLIMATE AND RESOURCE ISSUES.

Our commitments are focused on the living world and the climate. Through several measures, discover how we are working to reduce our environmental impact and protect biodiversity.

Calculate to improve. This is the objective of the Bilan Carbone which uses a reference indicator: the quantity of greenhouse gases emitted by the company's activities. Thanks to it, we can identify our main emitters and take action.

Our objective is to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions by 55% by 2030, in line with the objectives of the Paris Agreements.

Protecting biodiversity

As a Mediterranean company, we are particularly concerned about protecting the oceans, the coastline and the Mediterranean.

Since 2021, we have been partners of the Parc National des Calanques de Marseille. Together we share strong common values, our attachment to the territory of Marseille and the Mediterranean, ecological solidarity, and the desire to develop environmental awareness and education, particularly among young people. At the heart of the partnership is the Posidonia meadow conservation programme, the "lungs" of our beautiful blue sea.

A protected species endemic to the Mediterranean, Posidonia provides shelter and food for marine species. It is also remarkably efficient at storing carbon in a sustainable way. Anchors dropped at sea by hundreds of thousands of boaters each year damage Posidonia meadows. An awareness-raising kit has been produced to equip more than 500 day charter boats, along with the information and advice needed to anchor in a way that is more respectful of Posidonia meadows.

Our actions around water

We have made water the spearhead of our environmental protection.
OUR ACTIONS.

• Supporting environmental project leaders: by mentoring the startup SEABLOCKS, winner of the Club Top 20 My Med challenge for the protection of biodiversity and the Mediterranean coastline.

• Reaffirm our territorial anchorage by signing a 2-year partnership with the Parc National des Calanques de Marseille in September 2021.

• To engage in local environmental actions: In 2021 we joined the movement organised by the Pure Ocean Foundation: "La Goutte Bleue". Pure Océan invites individuals and companies to take responsible action to collect waste before it reaches the sea.

• Develop and improve each year our Kaporal Impact denim line, which requires little water to manufacture. In December 2022, we will offer a denim capsule whose dyeing process saves 100% water.
